So as it turns out, I’m scheduled to preach in a few weeks while the pastor is on a much-deserved vacation. The theme is going to be discipleship – specifically, exploring these questions:
1. What does real-life discipleship look like (in contrast to the idealized version that too often gets emphasized in books on the subject)?
2. What steps can we take to get to the point of being willing to give up our claim upon ourselves?
